Everything in the universe goes by indirection. There are no straight lines.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

I have fiddled with things. My first 24 hours of tumbling will stay here. New tumbling here.

It thinks in order to grow

Hello :) I’m going to be messing around with my tumblr a little. I’m a tad frustrated because I cannot make this one my default. I’ll let you know if I sort myself out - but it looks like I may have to discard my last 24 hours of tumbling and links might go funny. Will keep you informed.

Wish me luck and hugs, Suzie!

Here one of the guinea-pigs cheered, and was immediately suppressed by the officers of the court. (As that is rather a hard word, I will just explain to you how it was done. They had a large canvas bag, which tied up at the mouth with strings: into this they slipped the guinea-pig, head first, and then sat upon it.)

Made me laugh out loud :)

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Arthur Rackham.
I’m currently reading Lewis Carroll’s wonderful book yet again. I think it’s so absurd and funny and Alice is adorable, deadpan and kind of bossy. My copy is full of bright and very colourful illustrations. They are pretty, but possibly too cheery. I think these ones by Arther Rackham are better. They capture the creepiness and underlying sinisterness of it all.
